Thirty player props on the board today across just two WNBA games, and twelve of them clear our value bar. That density is the tell. WNBA props are a thin market: fewer games, smaller betting handle, and nobody is grinding a rebound number the way the whole industry grinds an NFL spread.

Prices drift, books disagree, and the gap between the worst available number and the best one is often wider than the edge itself. Today's markets in play are Rebounds, Assists and Points. How Player Props Work

A player prop is a simple over/under on one player's stat line. The book posts a number, say 6.5 rebounds, and you take the over or the under. No team result required. If she grabs seven, the over cashes.

The catch is the vig, short for vigorish, the book's built-in commission. Both sides of that 6.5 might be priced at -110, meaning you risk $110 to win $100. Add up what those two prices imply and you get about 105 percent, not 100. That extra five points is the house fee. Strip it out and you get the no-vig fair price, the market's honest estimate of the market-implied probability. When the best price you can actually bet pays more than that fair estimate, the bet is +EV, positive expected value. You are being paid more than the risk is worth. That is the only reason to place a wager.

Why the Best Number Wins

On a WNBA prop, the same player and the same stat can be 6.5 at one book and 7.5 at another, with prices 15 or 20 cents apart. That is not a rounding error. At -110 you need to win 52.4 percent of the time just to break even. At -105 you need 51.2 percent. Get the extra half rebound on top of the better price and the market-implied win probability can move several points in your favor.

Stack that across a season and it is the whole game. A bettor with a real read who always takes the second-best number will roughly break even. The same read taken at the best available number is a business. Line shopping is not a nice habit on props. It is the edge.

How We Find +EV

Our method is mechanical, not vibes. We pull the full market for every WNBA prop, find the best available price across US books, then build a consensus from three or more books and remove the vig from it by scaling both sides back to a clean 100 percent. That gives us a fair probability independent of any single book's shading.

Then we compare. Best price against fair price. If the gap clears our value bar, the prop makes the board. If it is a sliver, we pass, because small edges get eaten by variance and by lines moving before you can get down. Today twelve of thirty props survived that filter. The other eighteen were fairly priced or worse.
