1. Overview
This policy explains what Wise Guy Team LLC ("WGT," "we") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers wiseguyteam.com, our member dashboard and tools, and our email, text, push, Telegram, and Discord communications (the "Service"). The Service is intended for U.S. residents age 18+.
2. What we collect
You provide: name, email address, phone number (if you opt in to texts), account credentials, payment method (processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number), bets you log in the Bet Tracker, bankroll settings, messages you send us or to our AI coach, support correspondence, and testimonial submissions.
Collected automatically: IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, clicks and referral URLs, email opens and clicks, approximate location from IP, and identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies.
From third parties: payment status from our payment processors, and delivery and engagement data from our messaging providers.
3. How we use it
To provide the Service (deliver picks, run tools, remember your settings, grade and display your tracked bets); to bill and manage subscriptions; to send communications you have signed up for; to personalize offers and content; to measure and improve the site and our marketing; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with law.
4. How we share it
We share personal information with service providers who process it for us: payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (SendGrid, AWeber), text messaging (Project Broadcast), hosting and infrastructure (Kinsta/WordPress, Cloudflare, Supabase), AI processing for content and chat (Anthropic), and analytics (Google Analytics, PostHog).
Advertising: we use advertising pixels and server-side tools from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and X, and share hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number) and site events with those platforms to measure our ads and reach audiences likely to be interested in our Service. Some state laws call this "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; you can opt out (see Your choices and rights). We do not sell personal information for money, and we never share your bet history or payment details with advertisers.
We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or in a business transfer.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. Our tags use privacy-protective consent-mode defaults and honor applicable consent signals where required. You can also control cookies in your browser; the site works without non-essential cookies.
6. Retention and security
We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing-dispute, and record-keeping purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry-standard safeguards; no system is perfectly secure.
7. Your choices and rights
Email: unsubscribe link in every marketing email (one-click supported); transactional and paid-content emails continue while you are a member. Texts: reply STOP to any message, or turn off text alerts in your account (see our SMS Terms). Push, Telegram, Discord: disable in your device or browser, or leave the channel. Ad "sharing" opt-out: email memberservice@wiseguyteam.com with the subject "Do Not Share" and we will stop sharing your identifiers with ad platforms. Access, correction, deletion: email memberservice@wiseguyteam.com and we will verify your request and respond within 45 days. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, Nevada, and others), you may have specific statutory rights to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising; we extend the practical versions of these rights to all U.S. users.
8. Children
The Service is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
9. YouTube API Services
We publish our own videos to the Wise Guy Team YouTube channel through an internal tool that uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service you are not asked to connect a Google or YouTube account, and we do not access, collect or store data from any YouTube account other than our own channel. The only YouTube data we keep is the identifier of each video we upload, held in our own database for reporting, and we do not share it with third parties. Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The channel owner can revoke the tool's access at any time from the Google security settings page, and stored video identifiers are deleted on request to memberservice@wiseguyteam.com.
10. Third-party links
The Service links to third-party sites (such as sportsbooks). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we do not control.
