📘 New to UFC betting? The basics in two minutes. MMA betting is almost all moneyline: you pick who wins the fight, that's it, no point spreads. In the main event, -400 means you risk $400 to profit $100, that's the favorite. Books also offer round totals (over/under on how long the fight lasts) and method props (KO, submission, decision). +EV means the price pays better than the true odds, the only proven way to profit long-term. Belgrade Gets a Loaded Fight Night

On August 1, 2026, the UFC lands at Belgrade Arena with a ten-fight card headlined by a women's bantamweight main event between Hailey Cowan and Nina Milošević. The card also features former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, heavyweight veteran Marcin Tybura, and two unbeaten prospects in Michael Oliveira and Navajo Stirling. Several fights do not have posted odds yet, and that matters, because our whole approach starts with the number.

How UFC Betting Works

MMA betting is simple at its core. There are no point spreads, just the moneyline, which is a bet on who wins the fight. A negative number is the favorite: Nina Milošević at -400 means you risk $400 to win $100. A positive number is the underdog: Hailey Cowan at +330 means you risk $100 to win $330. Books build in a fee called the vig, so we also list a fair percentage, which is the market's true win probability once that fee is stripped out. Milošević's fair number is 77%, Cowan's is 24%. One more rule we live by: prices vary across sportsbooks, so always shop for the best number. Getting +330 instead of +300 costs nothing and pays more.

Hailey Cowan vs Nina Milošević

Cowan is 7-5-0 and priced at +330, best at DraftKings, with a 24% fair win probability. Milošević is 8-1-0 and a big -400 favorite, best at BetRivers, fair 77%. The market sees this as a showcase for the home-region favorite. Here is the math wrinkle: at -400 you need to win 80% of the time just to break even, and the fair number says 77%. Cowan's +330 implies about 23%, slightly below her 24% fair figure. Cowan needs to land in the roughly one-in-four scenario the market itself allows for.

Kyle Prepolec vs Mateusz Rębecki

Prepolec (18-10-0) meets Rębecki (20-5-0) at lightweight. Odds are not posted yet, so there is nothing to price. Two experienced records, but without a number, there is no bet to evaluate.

Dennis Buzukja vs Bogdan Grad

Buzukja (12-6-0) is +175 at Caesars, fair 36%. Grad (15-4-0) is -196 at FanDuel, fair 65%. This is the closest priced fight with posted odds. At -196 you risk $196 to win $100, and the market makes Grad roughly a two-in-three proposition. Buzukja's +175 implies about 36%, right on his fair number, so the market has this one priced tightly on both sides.

Oban Elliott vs Michael Oliveira

Elliott (12-4-0) is +280 at DraftKings, fair 26%. Oliveira, unbeaten at 9-0-0, is -340 at FanDuel, fair 75%. The market treats the perfect record with respect, making Oliveira a three-in-four favorite. Elliott needs to be the first man to solve him, and the price says the books doubt it.

Ludovit Klein vs Tofiq Musayev

Klein (24-5-1) is the -235 favorite, best at FanDuel, fair 68%. Musayev (23-6-0) is +200 at Caesars, fair 32%. Two deeply experienced lightweights, but the market gives Klein roughly a two-in-three edge. Klein's -235 implies about 70%, a touch above his 68% fair number, so favorite backers are paying a small premium.

Gilbert Urbina vs Vlasto Čepo

Urbina (7-5-0) faces Čepo (14-3-0) at middleweight. No odds have been posted. Čepo carries the stronger record on paper, but until a price exists, there is no edge to measure.

Duško Todorović vs Robert Valentin

Todorović (13-6-0) against Valentin (12-6-0), another middleweight fight without posted odds. Two similar records, and we wait for a number before forming a betting opinion.

Marcin Tybura vs Aleksandar Rakic

Tybura (27-11-0) is +300 at BetMGM, fair 26%. Rakic (14-6-0) is -345 at DraftKings, fair 74%. Here is the interesting part: +300 implies exactly 25%, but Tybura's fair probability is 26%. That is a rare posted price sitting below the market's own true estimate. Rakic at -345 needs to win about 77.5% of the time to break even against a 74% fair number.

Jan Blachowicz vs Navajo Stirling

Blachowicz (29-11-2), the former champion, is +260 at DraftKings, fair 27%. Stirling, unbeaten at 10-0-0, is -320 at Caesars, fair 73%. The market is backing youth and the perfect record over the veteran name, pricing Stirling as roughly a three-in-four favorite.

Daniel Rodriguez vs Uroš Medić

Rodriguez (20-5-0) meets Medić (13-3-0) at welterweight. Odds are not posted yet, so we hold our opinion until a price arrives.

Where the Value Is

Two prices stand out. Tybura at +300 pays $300 per $100 risked while his fair probability is 26%, above the 25% the price implies. That is a positive expected value number as posted. Cowan at +330 is similar: the price implies about 23% against a 24% fair number. Neither is a claim these underdogs will win, only that the payout slightly exceeds the risk. On the flip side, Milošević at -400 and Rakic at -345 ask you to lay more than the fair numbers justify. Grad and Stirling are priced close to fair, thin but playable for those who want the favorite side.

The Picks

Cowan vs Milošević: Hailey Cowan at +330, DraftKings

Prepolec vs Rębecki: Pass until odds post

Buzukja vs Grad: Bogdan Grad at -196, FanDuel

Elliott vs Oliveira: Michael Oliveira at -340, FanDuel

Klein vs Musayev: Ludovit Klein at -235, FanDuel

Urbina vs Čepo: Pass until odds post

Todorović vs Valentin: Pass until odds post

Tybura vs Rakic: Marcin Tybura at +300, BetMGM

Blachowicz vs Stirling: Navajo Stirling at -320, Caesars

Rodriguez vs Medić: Pass until odds post

The Prediction

The Desk understands why Milošević is a heavy favorite, an 8-1-0 record against 7-5-0 justifies a big number. But -400 demands an 80% win rate against a 77% fair figure, and Cowan at +330 pays more than the market's own probability requires. This is Wise Guy Desk analysis, not an official documented play, and the read is straightforward: take the small mathematical edge, back Cowan at +330 at DraftKings, and let the price do the work.

How does UFC betting work?

Favorites carry minus numbers, underdogs plus numbers, and prices vary a lot between books, so shopping for the best number matters.
