A Halloween Card Where the Market Cannot Make Up Its Mind
Renato Moicano is -105. Tom Nolan is +108. That is as close to a true 50/50 as a sportsbook ever prints, and it sits on the same card as Lucia Szabova at -590, where the market gives one fighter an 85% chance. Add Ode' Osbourne vs Cody Durden, another dead-even number, and three undefeated fighters (Szabova 12-0, Jacobe Smith 13-0, Farman Hasanov 6-0) being asked to prove it. Thirteen fights, two coin flips, and a handful of prices that quietly pay better than the fight deserves.
How UFC Betting Works
There are no point spreads in MMA. Nobody wins by 3.5. You are betting the moneyline, which is simply: who gets their hand raised. A minus number is the favorite and tells you what you risk to win $100. Zach Reese at -290 means risking $290 to win $100. A plus number is the underdog and tells you what $100 wins. Mickey Gall at +245 means $100 returns $245 in profit.
Every price contains vig, the book's built-in commission. Strip it out and you get the fair price, which is the true win probability the market is pricing. Reese at -290 is really about a 73% shot. Gall is 27%. That gap is the whole game. Line shopping (checking several books before you bet) is how you stop paying it.
Mickey Gall vs Zach Reese
Gall is 7-7, Reese is 10-4. Both sides are priced tighter than they should be. Reese needs to be the finisher his record suggests; Gall needs this to get messy.
Tainara Lisboa vs Lucia Szabova
Szabova is 12-0 and -590, an 85% favorite. You are being asked to lay nearly six to one on an unbeaten fighter with no discount for the risk.
Piera Rodriguez vs Talita Alencar
Rodriguez (12-2) is a 72% favorite at -270. The market respects experience here, and the dog price does not fully pay for the upset.
Joe Kropschot vs Nick Klein
That is about as close to honest as a favorite gets on this card. Klein at 6-3 and +267 is priced 26% to win.
Julian Erosa vs JeongYeong Lee
Erosa is 31-14 with 45 pro fights of scar tissue. The veteran underdog at +156 is a live number but not a cheap one.
Theodor Berggren vs Rodrigo Sezinando
Sezinando (9-2) is -156, Berggren (8-4) is +150. The market splits this 62/38 and prices it almost perfectly. Nothing to steal, which means the only edge is taking the best of the two numbers.
Andre Petroski vs Azamat Bekoev
Petroski is 13-7, Bekoev is 20-5. No odds posted yet across our books. When a fight opens late it often opens soft, so this is one to watch rather than guess at.
Dakota Hope vs Francis Marshall
Marshall (10-3) is the 69% side at -239.
Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani vs Farman Hasanov
Lebosnoyani is 11-2 and priced -250 at BetRivers. That is the rare case where the best available price is cheaper than the fight's true value. Hasanov is 6-0 and untested at this level.
Yana Santos vs Luana Santos
Yana is 17-8, Luana is 11-2. Our feed shows -250 posted on both names, which is a pricing quirk, not a real market. Until a clean two-way number appears, there is no number to judge.
Ode' Osbourne vs Cody Durden
Osbourne (13-9) is -106, Durden (18-11-1) is +100. A true pick-em. Getting a plus price on the side the model prefers is exactly the situation shoppers hunt for.
Randy Brown vs Jacobe Smith
Smith is 13-0 and -265, a 71% favorite. The number says prospect, the resume says veteran.
Renato Moicano vs Tom Nolan
Moicano is 21-7-1 and -105. Nolan is 11-1 and +108. Fifty-fifty, with no vig edge on either side. Experience against a 92% career win rate.
Where the Value Is
Two prices beat their fair number. Lebosnoyani at -250 (BetRivers) is listed fairly at -265, so you risk $250 for a result worth $265 of risk. Paying -290 on a -272 fight costs you money over time even when you win.

The Prediction
When a fight is genuinely 50/50, you do not pick the fighter, you pick the price. Moicano at -105 and Nolan at +108 describe the same fight, but only one of them pays you more than you risk. Nolan is 11-1 and the market, after removing the vig, cannot separate him from a 21-7-1 veteran. Take the plus money at Kalshi, keep the stake modest, and if your book has Nolan at +100 or lower, skip it entirely. That is the read on this number, and the Desk posts a documented free play on days like this one right below.

How does UFC betting work?
Almost everything runs through the moneyline: pick the winner of the fight. There are no point spreads. Books also offer round totals (how long the fight lasts) and method-of-victory props. Favorites carry minus numbers, underdogs plus numbers, and prices vary a lot between books, so shopping for the best number matters.
Are these UFC picks free?
Yes. This is a free Wise Guy Desk breakdown, our analysis, not Ross's official plays. Ross's documented plays are bet with real money and graded win or loss on the members board.
