Line Movement shows where the market has been going, hour by hour.
Every hour, our server writes down the best price on each side of every game. It's the best price across the books we price, not one book's opening line.
Start is the best price at our first hourly snapshot. Now is the best eligible price right now. Move is the change in win chance, in win-chance points. When a spread or total number moves, you see the number change instead, so the two units never mix. The trend is the hourly chance since the start.
Tap a game for the chart and the hourly table. A diamond means the best price moved to a different book that hour. A shaded hour had no snapshot, so the last price carries forward.
Now, Reverse Line Movement.
A game is listed when 60% or more of the tickets are on one side, and the line moved toward the other side. Strong means the side the line moved toward has 30% of the tickets or fewer.
Two observation times are compared: the start of our price history, and the current ticket split. There's no ticket history, so we can't tell if the tickets came before or after the move.
Remember, we never claim to know who moved a line. It's a clue to look closer, not a pick. Check the price on Compare Books: the move is history, the price you get is now.
Both are market tools in your WGT workspace.
