1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Wise Guy Team LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use wiseguyteam.com and our Service. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account & contact information you provide: name, email address, mobile phone number, and account credentials.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as plan, status, and the last four digits/expiration) but we do not collect or store your full card number, Stripe handles that.
- Preferences you enter: such as bankroll, unit size, favorite sportsbooks, and notification settings, used to personalize tools and content.
- Usage & device data: pages viewed, clicks, approximate location/IP, browser and device type, and similar analytics, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications: messages you send us and your email/SMS engagement.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, personalize, and improve the Service and its tools;
- To process payments, manage your membership, and prevent fraud;
- To send you the picks, account notices, and (with your consent) marketing emails and texts;
- To measure and improve performance and marketing;
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. Cookies and analytics
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. We use PostHog (product analytics, served through our own domain) and the Meta pixel (advertising measurement). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it, including: Stripe (payments), AWeber (email), Project Broadcast (SMS), Cloudflare (hosting/security), Supabase (database), and analytics/advertising providers such as PostHog and Meta. We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and safety, and in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or sale).
6. Email and text messages
We send account and marketing emails; you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email (we honor the CAN-SPAM Act). If you opt in to texts, you consent to recurring automated messages; message/data rates may apply, consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can reply STOP to opt out at any time (consistent with the TCPA).
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of marketing, and (for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA and residents of the EEA/UK under the GDPR) additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email memberservice@wiseguyteam.com; we will verify and respond as required by law.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Service links to third-party sites (such as sportsbooks). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we do not control.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will post the new version with an updated date. Material changes take effect when posted or as required by law.
